86% of our homeless called Solano their home prior to becoming homeless. I’m working collaboratively with the City of Vallejo as we develop a thoughtful, effective, and holistic homeless solution.
Early Childhood Support
My passion for ensuring a strong foundation for every child has has always driven my focus. This fall we open our first local center, which will provide free resources for families with kids under the age of six.
I will continue our partner work with the Florence Douglas Center and the “Walking for Health” grant to give away walking shoes to Vallejo seniors. Senior health and independence remain top priorities for me.
Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation Partnership
I’ve worked collaboratively to secure $3M in grant funding to assist in meeting the basic needs people throughout our County, so that our seniors can remain active and every family has access to healthy options.
A Healthy & Sustainable Future
Whether it’s my efforts in support of single-use-plastics, engaged support in developing our local Regional Park System, participation in creating our successful public transit program, or focus on sea-level rise—my priority is leaving the next generation a healthy, sustainable environment.
